Pushbullet Review

Sven Sorensen
Connects multiple devices to share messages, links and notifications
A review of Pushbullet by Sven Sørensen

PushBullet is a program which can provide notifications and sharing utility for mobile phones and the PC.

The system is really unlike any other as PushBullet can connect different devices and applications including Android, PC, web browser and even Macs.

Just like Push notifications, PushBullet can provide you with instant notifications and sharing of notes, addresses, links and lists.

The user interface of PushBullet is pretty minimalistic and when starting, you can create an account with either your Facebook and Google account. Items are categorized in to either "PUSH" or "NOTIFICATIONS".

In order to get PushBullet working, it is important to create an account and add different devices. A separate app from the Google Play store is available called PushBullet.

When sending things with PushBullet, you can have them appear (or pushed) to all devices or only the devices of your choice. For example, you can have the Windows application send a link just to your Android phone or Android tablet.

One of the most useful parts of the application is its support for WhatsApp messages. You can have WhatsApp notifications, messages, pictures, etc. sent to your mobile phone appear in your system tray, web browser or tablet.

In PushBullet for Windows, a few different settings are available like the toggling of notifications, notification sounds and whether or not to keep the notifications on top of other windows. The download folder should also be specified for items shared with PushBullet.

All in all, PushBullet is a unique and quick way to send content and links between phones, tablets, PCs and Macs.

Pushbullet features and highlights:
  • Instantly send a link from your computer to your phone
  • Send files from your computer to your phone with a click
  • Never miss a call or text again while working at your computer
